Workload Automation Agent

Issue/Introduction

If someone runs "cybAgent -vv" afterward ustat reports agent status incorrectly.
It reports it is not running when it is.

Environment

CA Workload Automation Agent 11.3.x for Linux

Resolution

This is a known potential issue with 11.3 agents.

See:
https://docops.ca.com/ca-workload-automation-system-agent/11-4/en/release-notes

SYSAGT-284 -VV Option Changes Status to Inactive (UNIX only) When you execute the "-vv" command line option to show enhanced verbose agent information, the "status" file containing information about the running state of the agent is overwritten and shows the agent "Inactive." The agent itself if unaffected by the incorrect Status file, but the status might lead you to conclude that the agent is not running when it is.

The issue is fixed in version 11.4.
Workarounds for the 11.3 versions would be to restore the status file after running the cybAgent -vv such that it includes the cybAgent pid or stop and restart the agent.
