Issue/Introduction

We put on some TSS R15 maintenance. Now when we attempt to use the following OPSMVS function to issue a command, we receive the following:

OC C(D SMF,L=Z) SYSID(xxxx) NOOUTPUT

OPS3724O TSO OPTOD.$CMD2 Sent CMD=OC C(D SMF,L=Z) SYSID(xxxx) NOOUTPUT
OPS3092H OC C(D SMF,L=Z) SYSID(xxxx) NOOUTPUT
OPS1181H OPSOSF1 xxxx (xxxx) MVS N/A OPTOD.$CMD2 D SMF,L=Z
OPS3092H EXTRACT OF SECURITY PRODUCT USERID FAILED - INVALID SECURITY ENVIRONMENT
OPS3092H READY

Environment

Release:
Component: TSSMVS

Cause

- These error messages can occur when the OPSOSF started task(s) (in this case, OPSOSF1) is not in the TSS started task table.

- The problem can also occur if OPS is started before TSS. In this case the command F OPSS,RESTART(SECURITY) can fix it.

- Another possible cause is if the parameter OSFSECURITY is set to CHECKUSERID but the parameter OSFPRODUCT is not set to a valid acid in TSS.

Resolution

Once the OPSOSF1 started task was defined to the STC table in TSS and recycled, message no longer occurred.
