Issue/Introduction

During processing of CICS/IDEAL user transaction SR41, we get message
 
 1-IDAETER102E - VSAM Error in CICS: See DATA-VIEW STATUS 

The VSAM file is open in CICS. 

Environment

z/VSE  
CICS Transaction Server 1.1.1 
CA IDEAL 11.0
IBM VSAM 

Cause

In IDEAL installation job IDINS04 VSAM=NO has been coded so the IDEAL VSAM code has not been installed.

Resolution

 Run  now

Further testing showed an ILLOGIC condition in IDEAL when reading VSAM files but that problem was not related to IDEAL but to FILES.
