SUPPORT AUTOMATION- SERVER CA Service Desk Manager - Unified Self Service CA Service Desk Manager

Issue/Introduction

After creating a customization to a form on a background server, users will need to perform a fail-over in order to run a pdm_publish. The following issue may appear when attempting to start the standby server:

"Error 1067 the process terminated unexpectedly"

Additionally, "Unable to register server, as checksum count x would exceed maximum of y (z servers registered)" may be found in the standard logs.

One potential cause can be a mismatch between the checksum listed on each server.

How can I resolve the following error when attempting to start my standby server: "Error 1067 the process terminated unexpectedly" after adding customization to my forms on my background server? Additionally, "Unable to register server, as checksum count x would exceed maximum of y (z servers registered)" will be found in the standard logs.

Environment

Service Desk Manager Advanced Availability Environment.

Resolution

In order to resolve this problem, the user must turn off the Service Desk Manager services on any application servers. When these services are turned off, the user can complete turning on the standby server's Service Desk Manager service as expected.
