Issue/Introduction

This article describes how to re-synchronize the Boot and OS image libraries of a remote SS/boot server, with the domain manager.  For whatever the cause, the boot or OS image library may have been wiped.  In some cases this has been reported with SS move, SS replacement or change of HostUUID.

How to synchronize the Boot image and OS Image library with the Domain Manager?

Environment

Client Automation (ITCM) -- any version.

Resolution

To re-synchronize the Boot and OS image library of a scalability server:

On the remote SS/boot server:
1- Rename the following files:
..\CA\DSM\Server\SDBS\var\managedpc\bsmimgo.dat --> bsmimgo.dat.old
..\CA\DSM\Server\SDBS\var\managedpc\bsmimgb.dat --> bsmimgb.dat.old

2- After a few minutes, the missing Boot and OS image library should now be populated on the DM.
