Errors seen in Spectrum VNM.OUT regarding .vnmrc is not writable

Cause

This can be caused by permission issues or when the file was renamed.

Resolution

Confirm that the file was not renamed in $SPECROOT/SS. Occasionally we will find that the .vnmrc file was given another extension like .txt if opened by a text editor or something similar.

We have also seen, potentially, that Windows update renamed the file to .vnmrc.vnmrc.

The file should be .vnmrc with no other extensions and full permissions to read/write.
