UDB CLOSE causes Region to abend with S0C4

Issue/Introduction

When you upgrade to z/OS 2.3 it may happen that NCLs using VSAM files can cause the region to abend with a S0C4 Abend.

Environment

z/OS 2.3
 

Resolution

This problem appears only if the file used is opened in RLS (Record Level Sharing) mode. IBM is currently creating a correction for IBM solution OA54317 to resolve this problem.
