XCOME0780E Txpi 226: Select timed out with no data available
Release: XCOM Data Transport-for z/OS
Component:
XCOM Data Transport for z/VSE
Indicates that TCPIP is not responding back to XCOM in a timely matter and therefore the job ends.
For z/OS
Parameter TCPRTIME in the CONFIG-Member used for the transfer specifies how long XCOM wait for an answer from the Transfer-Partner through the TCP/IP Network.
Therefore check the value of this parameter and increase it if that problem happens often. This is not a XCOM Problem but a problem inside the TXP/IP Network.
Also check the TIMEOUT parameters
For z/VSE
Specifies in seconds the maximum time that XCOM Data Transport waits for a TCP/IP response during a TCP/IP receive function.
Parameter TCPRTIME in the default Member used for the transfer specifies how long XCOM wait for an answer from the Transfer-Partner through the TCP/IP Network.
Therefore check the value of this parameter and increase it if that problem happens often. This is not a XCOM Problem but a problem inside the TXP/IP Network.
Also check the TIMEOUT parameter.
Co not set to 0 (never timeout) as hangs may occur.
If increasing TIMEOUT or TCPRTIME does not resolve the problem, capture matching XCOM traces from both sides and optne a case with Broadcom Support and supply the traces and xcomlogs from both sides
