Reprints from CA VIEW generate the following error messages : -

SARBPC05 Card 000 invalid symbolic variable DATE4
SARBPC05 Card 000 invalid symbolic variable A11
SARBPC05 Card 000 invalid symbolic variable A41
etc…

Cause

The message "SARBPC05 CARD nnn INVALID SYMBOLIC VARIABLE xxxxxxxxxx+" is issued because symbolic variable in record number nnn of the model banner page definition is not in the correct syntax.
The most common reason is that user loaded the CA Deliver Banner Page - (called DEFAULT) into your CA View database.
You need to verify this on your database, where you were initially seeing the problem.

Resolution

The corrective action are:
- Make sure that your CA View databases has the Ca View DEFAULT Banner page loaded and not the CA Deliver DEFAULT.
- Check that the CA View DEFAULT Banner that you load has not been modified at all, if it has then make sure the correct DEFAULT Banner is loaded.
- Reload the CA View model banner page member into the Ca View database with the BLOAD function of the SARDBASE utility.
