If an application job creates many reports that are written directly to CA View by CA Deliver, the View database can temporarily show a high usage percentage and possibly display SARDBI23 messages, in the application job.
For each STACK report created, there are buffers allocated.
The allocation is done in terms of blocks, where each block allocation is made according to the size of the corresponding View database's data extent blocksize.
The use of many buffers can make the View database appear to look more heavily used than it actually is.
In the RMOPARM SARBUFCT parameter description, a recommendation is made to set to SARBUFCT=1 when processing many (thousands of) reports.
It was suggested to the client that they consider lowering their RMOPARM setting from SARBUFCT=5 to SARBUFCT=3, so that fewer buffers are allocated per report.
Also, it was suggested that the client allocate more data space to their View database.
