Issue/Introduction

Following ERROR messages were output in IntroscopeEnterpriseManager.log. [ERROR] [main] [Manager.com.timestock.introscope.IntroscopeManager] Unable to get EM host name: java.net.UnknownHostException: : : unknown error Using default of localhost.
Is there a workaround?

Resolution

An error occurs that DNS resolution of the host name specified in <Hostname> can not be performed. 
This is because the specified host name can not be resolved DNS. 

Please check if your dns settings are ok. You might want to check the /etc/hosts file on this machine and see what is wrong. If not you can check with your network admin to find out why you are getting UnknownHostException.
