When trying to accesss Java Web Client an AwE-9999 error is thrown pointing to the Options.properties file

Issue/Introduction

When trying to log into the Java Web Client, an AwE-9999 internal error is thrown.

Selecting the Details button will show a message similar to the follow:

 

ErrorMsg: AwE-9999 Internal error (1/11/18 1:11 AM)
Details: http://<HOST>:<PORT>/<MASTER_NAME>/classes/Options.properties
 

Visiting the above url through a web browser results in the following error:
 

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /<HOST>/classes/Options.properties on this server.

Cause

This can be caused by permissions being restricted on the Options.properties file in the $AW_HOME/web/classes directory.

Resolution

Default permissions for Options.properties file should be: -rw-rw-r-- 1

If file permissions are any more restrictive they will need to be reverted to at least default levels.
