Does using SSL cause overhead for XCOM transfers

Issue/Introduction

When using SSL encryption for XCOM transfers what can be done about SSL using CPU time in those transfers?

Resolution

XCOM and SSL are independent of each other. If you use SSL with XCOM, there will be more CPU usage but that is not influenced by XCOM. If there are concerns about the CPU usage with SSL compared to without SSL then that is the responsibility of the SSL Software vendor.
