Error in job log: "bc: not found"

Issue/Introduction
After a migration to a machine with a new version of Linux or freshly installed machines the job log of DUAS shows the following error:
<DUAS>/bin/u_batch[79]: bc: not found
<DUAS>/bin/u_batch[79]: bc: not found
Environment
Unix/Linux
Cause
The system utility "bc" is not installed
DUAS uses the system utility "bc" in u_batch:
export orsypcptretry=`echo ${orsypcptretry}+1 | bc`
DUAS uses the system utility "bc" in u_batch:
export orsypcptretry=`echo ${orsypcptretry}+1 | bc`
Resolution
Ask your system administrator to install "bc"
