Resolution
Add the JMX properties in VMOPTIONS in specific DevTest components and that should collect the JMX metrics for DevTest.
For a DevTest test case which is executing a request against an application server then JMX metrics can be added in a Staging document-->Metrics tab and click on "+" icon and select "JMX Attribute Reader". This one will provide the JMX metrics.
