Issue/Introduction
This article documents the process required to rollback to a previous Applications Manager version after an upgrade has been completed. The following actions must be taken before upgrading:
1. Stop Applications Manager and all Remote Agents 2. Make a backup of the Applications Manager's database schema 3. Make a copy of the Applications Manager $AW_HOME or %AW_HOME% (Windows) directory. 4. If rolling back Remote Agents, make a copy of their $AW_HOME or %AW_HOME% (Windows) directories as well.
Environment
Release: Component: APPMGR
Resolution
To rollback:
1. Stop Applications Manager 2. Revert Applications Manager database schema from backup 3. Replace Applications Manager HOME directory with backup HOME directory ($AW_HOME or %AW_HOME% in Windows) 4. If rolling back Remote Agents is required, replace Agent's HOME directory with backup HOME directory ($AW_HOME or %AW_HOME% in Windows)
While not necessary, running awinstall option 1 to check data is generally recommended after rollback is complete.
