Resolution

Detailed Description and Symptoms

?When running the Automic archive utility and very little should actually be archived, the archive is taking a very long time and the archive files are very large.

Investigation

?Check the Recycle Bin for each client in the Automic system.  If there are a lot of objects in them, this can cause the archive to take a lon time.

Solution

?The way to get around this and not have the deleted items written to archive files is with the following steps:

1) Set the no_archive_check= setting in the unload ini file to 1.

2) Run the unload GUI and choose Reset reorg flags

3) In the unload GUI once step 2 is finished, chooose "Reorganize database"

4) Set the no_archive_chek in the unload ini file back to 0

This will have removed the deleted objects from the Recycle Bin and the archive should run more quickly now.
