Can't start the Informatica agent in Application Manager

Detailed Description and Symptoms

?Informatica agent will not start in Application Manager. Get the following error in the AgentService log.

ErrorMsg: AwE-5001 Database Query Error (5/22/12 3:50 PM)
Details: ORA-20035: Could not find "Db login -"
 

 

Investigation

?This is only an issue if you have upgaded to Informatica agent 2.0.0j from 2.0.0.

Solution

?Workaround:
1. Create a dummy Informatica FTPConnection login
2. Edit your Informatica agent
3. On the Informatica tab, select the option Use Ftp/Ftps/SFtp protocol and select your dummy login
4. Apply/OK
5. Edit your agent and select whichever option you really wanted to use (i.e. use infacmd command)
6. Start your agent
