Detailed Description and Symptoms:
Cannot create a BACKEND variable object in a client.Click on New Object, then click the black arrow next to the VARA Object and BACKEND is missing from the list.
Have the caller look at the User object they are signed in with. Click the privileges tab. Make sure "Create and Modify Backend Variables" is checked. If not, check it and save.

Have the caller look at the User object they are signed in with. Click the privileges tab. Make sure "Create and Modify Backend Variables" is checked. If not, check it and save.
Solution:
The user account is not authorized to create BACKEND variables. Enable this in the Privileges tab of the User object the caller has used to connect.
