Can't start the ECC--can't configure anything

Environment

Release:
Component: AAUTWI

Resolution

Detailed Description and Symptoms

To install the ECC the automic.enterprise.control.center.war file needs to be placed in the \tomcat\webapps directory. I have done this and created the automic.enterprise.control.center directory, but there is nothing to configure and it will not start even though Tomcat is started as a service.

Investigation

?Once the automic.enterprise.control.center sub-directory is created, it will then create three sub-directories:  \META-INF, \WEB-INF, and \config.  In this case, the \config directory has not been created, so all of the files used to configure the ECC are unavailable.

Solution

?This can happen when non-supported versions of Tomcat are used.  Version 7 and over are supported.  This has been documented with Tomcat 5.5 and probably occurs with other versions under 7 also.
