Issue/Introduction

Applications Manager does not start.

Symptoms

When trying to start Applications Manager it errors out when trying to start the agent service.

Cause

This can occur when restarting an instance if the awcomm was not properly killed/stopped.

Resolution

UNIX/Linux:

     Issue a "ps-ef|grep awcomm" and find the awcomm process for the Applications Manager instance and then kill the process using a 'kill -9 <awcomm process id number>'

Windows:

     Look in the task manager, with the Applications Manager instance stopped, for the awcomm process and kill it if it exists
