Cannot Acquire office 365 endpoint

Issue/Introduction

When acquiring an office 356 endpoint in Identity Manager, you receive error:

 [ApacheDS Worker-thread-82] (com.ca.jcs.o365:com.ca.jcs.o365.O365MetaConnectorType:141) ERROR - Failed to borrow connection: Failed to borrow connection object with connection key [connector@<example>.<domain>.com]: .

Cause

This error is normally caused by using meta characters in the Administrator password or for the account used to acquire the endpoint. These include: "([{\^-=$!|]})?*+." 

Resolution

Please avoid using the following characters in the password of the user acquiring the endpoint:

"([{\^-=$!|]})?*+."
