Issue/Introduction

When starting an Agent after an harware upgrad, the Agent fails to start and the following message appears in the Agent log:

U0011605 The combination of hardware 'xx/xx/xxx' and software 'xxx' version 'xx' ('000000016') is not supported.

Environment

Component: Automation Engine

Cause

When this error occurs it usually indicates that either the HTYP table in the database needs to be updated with the combination of hardware and software needs to be added to the HTYP table.

In older versions it could mean that the data base needs to be upgrades with the most recent Initial Data.

Resolution

Solution:

If you see this message please open a ticket with support and provide the following:
1. Executor/agent log
2. Copy and paste of the error message

Once we receive this we will send you the updated htyp to load into your database. Please follow the directions below to load this:

Version 12.x and higher:

1) You will obtain 2 files from support uc_htyp.txt and UC_UPD_v12.x.txt (x=0,1,2,3)
2) Place UC_UPD_v12.x.txt in the top-level directory parallel to your Automation Engine and Utility directories.
3) Place the uc_htyp.txt file in your Utility/db/general/12.x directory.
4) Start your DB Load Utility and select the UC_UPD_v12.txt file. This should load the htyp file as well, as long as it is located as specified above.
5) Subsequently, please attempt to start your Agents again.
