How come notification files do not honor a jobs log retention stetting?

Notification files do not honor jobs retention day setting.

Resolution

Notification files are not considered part of the jobs output files. They are created only to show that that notification has been sent. Removal of those files is hard wired to be removed after seven days, and cannot no be altered. This behavior is not a flaw, but should be considered as designed.
