Detailed Description and Symptoms

The AutomationEngine/Server will not start successfully even after performing a COLDStart.  The database (example: SQL Server, Oracle, etc.) where the OM DB is installed is started and no "error state' is found using the relevant database tools (example: the OM DB status is ready in Mgt Studio).  The following message appears in the log/trace file when the WP fails to start:

 

U0003528 Database is not in the internal status 'ready' but 'E'.

Or

U0003528 Database is not in the internal status 'ready' but 'ERROR' status.

Solution

1) Reload the InitialData for the Hotfix and this should change the status from ERROR to READY. 

2) Perform a successful restart of the AutomationEngine.
