Informatica workflows executing successfully even though sessions within failing.

Symptoms

If you schedule & execute a single Informatica Session and it fails, you still only get the Informatica "Workflow" status in Automic - i.e., session shows failed, but workflow shows completed successfully.

Resolution

Since we execute the workflow, we always return the workflow status. If the session within the workflow fails, but the workflow succeeds, AM will see this as successful. You need to propagate that failed session status up to the parent workflow by checking the 'Fail parent if this task fails' box on the session in Informatica.
