Issues starting PeopleSoft Agent on AIX

Symptoms

When starting a new Peoplesoft Agent on an AIX host and the following error is received: U2007021 Cannot find Java Class 'psft/pt8/joa/API'. Check CLASSPATH or generate it with the Application Designer.

Cause

Application can't find path to correct libraries.

Resolution

We will want to add the ppc and ppc/classic directory to the libpath, so like the following:

LIBPATH=/usr/java6/jre/lib/ppc:/usr/java6/jre/lib/ppc/classic:/usr/lpp/xlC/lib:/usr/ccs/lib
