Installing Service Pack 10 for Applications Manager 8.0.

Symptoms

Instructions included in this document outline the steps to follow when updating Applications Manager 8.0 to service pack 10. Ensure that Applications Manager is stopped before applying the service pack. 

 

Note: The Applications Manager master and all remote agents will need to be updated at the same time.

Installing the patch:

 

Log in as the AM user

Stop the master and all remote agents

Navigate to the AW_Home/data folder

Delete the file called extract_file.dat

 (Ensures the applicable files are extracted during the installation)

Create a folder under the AW_HOME folder called SP10

Copy the installation file to that folder

Expand the file

Run the cdinst.sh from that folder

 

Example: sh /path/to/v8/cdinst.sh
