Application is sending the following error "File or Assembly Name wily.Agent, or one of the dependencies was not found"

Issue/Introduction

The agent was working almost a year and suddenly without any Agent or Application change no more metrics were showing.

 

Environment

Agent 10.2SysAct Java ApplicationWindows 2012

Cause

The problem was that the Wily Agent core file is missing.

The wily.Agent.dll file might have been deleted by an external source, i.e. an AntiVirus program

Resolution

To resolve this issue, restore the wily.Agent.dll from the last known good backup from the System Restore point.

 

Additional Information

It is recommend is to check the antivirus’s configuration and exclude the Agent directory to avoid this issue from happening again in the future.
