Issue/Introduction

There are a number of these reporting status for inactive messages in the WP logs that show as follows:

U00011018 Host: 'HOSTNAME' is reporting status for inactive FT: 'RunID'.

What does this message mean, and is there anything to be concerned about?

Release: v21 and 24

Cause

Working as designed.

Resolution

This message is shown after a successful file transfer, and is just a simple timing issue. 

While one WP is processing and completing the transfer, another WP checks the status of the FT within a small window after it finishes and sees the data record as completed but still reporting. This is where the reporting on an inactive file transfer message then gets written to the log.

As long as there were no issues with the file transfer itself, then this message is nothing to be concerned about
