Answer

The UserInterface is a Java application program and may run on all platforms for which a Java Runtime Environment (Virtual Machine, VM) is available.

However, it has been made official that the UserInterface has never been tested on Ubuntu, and therefore is not supported.

Our UI is tested on SUSEand RedHat Linux
