U0032235 The value for auto_reorg (set in the INI file) must be greater than the value set for the beginning of the reorganization period. Please check your settings.

Detailed Description and Symptoms

 

When running the UC4.DB Reorg, the following error message occurs:

U0032235 The value for auto_reorg (set in the INI file) must be greater than the value set for the beginning of the reorganization period. Please check your settings.

Investigation

Check the auto_reorg setting in the Reorganization ini file.  The Reorg log file will have the following lines:

 

U0032189 Reorganization started in client '1000'.
Messages (MELD): read: '365' days ('2011.01.25') unread: '365' days ('2011.01.25')
Statistics (AH): '365' days ('2011.01.25') Keep last 5 Statistical records per object
Reports (RH/RT): '365' days ('2011.01.25') Keep last 5 Reports per object
Version Management: '365' days ('2011.01.25') Keep last 5 VC per object

 

The auto_reorg engry in the Reorg Utility ini file must be higher than the numbers in bold above.  These are also the numbers set in the Reorganization GUI.

Solution

Change the auto_reorg setting in the UC4.DB Reorg ini file (ucybdbre.ini) to a value that is larger than the largest number of days being kept in the Reorganization utility GUI.
