Detailed Description and Symptoms

z/OS/os390 job not completing on the mainframe. 

Getting the following return codes after job execution:

U0011020 'AgentName' is reporting job status 'V' for job 'JobName' (RunID). Job-status number: ' 0000000002' DB: ' 0000000000' 

U0011014 Job 'JobName' (RunID) on Host 'AgentName' has disappeared. Remote ID=something

Check the JES logs. Might see something like the following:

STMT NO. MESSAGE 

2 IEFC019I MISPLACED DD STATEMENT 

2 IEFC607I JOB HAS NO STEPS

Solution

Changing the code setting from UC_CODE to EBCDIC_00037 could be a fix.
