Issue/Introduction
Web Server -- can Applications Manager use a Web Server other than Apache?
Applicable to Applications Manager Versions:v7.1, v8.0
Detailed Description
Can Applications Manager use a web server other than Apache??
Solution
Apache is the only web server Automic ships with. Automic does work with iPlanet and IIS. Details on how to set these alternate web servers up may be found in additional KBE documents.
The Automic Support Engineers are not experts in configuring web servers, so any questions you have about configuring them beyond what is available in the KBEs may take some time to answer, your Web Administrator may be a better alternate resource for this information. Your Web Administrator can call Automic Technical Support about security issues, what the web server is used for, etc.
