apachectl stop does not stop the Apache Service

Running the command 'apachectlstop' does not stop the Applications Manager Apache service.
Sometimes issues with the apache log directory can prevent the apachectlstop command from running.
Release: AAMORS99000-9.0-Automic Applications Manager-Oracle - RMS
Navigate to the Apache install directory "path/to/apache/log" and delete the contents of the directory.
Then try again to stop the apache service.
