Vague rror message when logging into ARA

Symptoms

Try logging into Application Release Automation but got a long red error message:

could not execute query [SELECT this_.Id as Id46_1_. this_.Reportid as ReortId46_1_.................................

Cause

This error message indicate that there is an issues with the database the ARA instance is pointing to.

Resolution

Check to see if ARA is configured to point to the correct database (also check if that database is working and the table has been loaded for it).
