How to add an additional connection to your Userinterface login

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms

You have more than one Automic-System and you want to be able to logon from one userinterface connection.

Investigation

The Following Information is necessary:

  •  Name of the connection you would like to add
  •  Name of the Automic System you want to connect to
  •  Ip Adress and port of the Communication Process
  •  Login Information

 

In my example i am using the following:

  •  Connection name "S900"
  •  System name "Automic"
  •  IP Adress "10.0.0.4"
  •  CP port "2917"​

Environment

Release: AOATAM99000-9.0-Automic-One Automation Tools-Application Manager
Component:

Resolution

  • Go to the bin folder of the Userinterface and   edit the"Uc4config.xml
  • Under &lt;connections> add the following syntax:

     <connection name="S900" system="Automic">
     <cp ip="10.0.0.4" port="2917" />

  • Save the "UC4config.xml" and start the Userinterface
  • Now you have the Option to connect to an additional Automic System from one Userinterface.
