Issue/Introduction

Console event object is unable to detect SAP event.

Environment

OS: Windows
SAP using XBP Interface

Cause

This issue could be caused by setting XBP Interface 2.0 in SAP side or there is no active Event from SAP side in Event History.

Resolution

Solution/ Step to investigate:

Step 1: To catch event object the XBP Interface must be 3.0 as the following:

Step 2: In the INI file of SAP Agent, also set the following:

[SAP_BASIS] 
SBB=0 
XBP=2 

Step 3: After that, restart the Agent. 

Please note that: xbpversion = 2, Here the XBP interface 3.0 is used , the display in the log file or in the report is somewhat confusing because not the actual XBP version but the UC4 count appears that looks like this: 
0 = default 
1 = XBP 2 
2 = XBP 3 

 

Step 4: If the issue still persists, please check if there any active Event from SAP side in Event History.

The active Event should be shown up with green square.
