LRECL and RECFM Attributes being overwritten in a File Transfer between OS/400 -> z/OS
Article ID: 88160
CA Automic Workload Automation - Automation Engine
Error Message : N/A
When transferring from AS/400 to z/OS, attributes set on a JOBF are not properly translated.
This can be found by confirming the VB LRECL value in the JOBF is not the same as reported after the transfer is completed. This error is related only to the text field in File Transfer (FT) object (File attributes:) for the destination.
Cause type: Defect Root Cause: The AS/400 agent destroys the destination attributes which are part of the FT and are dedicated to the destination agent. This happens only in case when the FT is initiated from AS/400 to other platform. This error is related only to the text field in FT
OS Version: N/A
Update to a fix version listed below or a newer version if available.
Fix Status: Released
Fix Version(s): Component(s): Agent AS400
Automation Engine 12.0.1 – Available Automation Engine 11.2.3 – Available Automation Engine 11.1.5 - Available Automation Engine 10.0.8 - Available
Workaround : Use an intermediary that does not require the LRECL or RECFM such as separating the FT: AS/400 -> Windows -> z/OS Instead of the direct AS/400 -> z/OS.
