Problems Logging into UIM Admin Console

When trying to log into the UIM Admin Console, the page reports that the username and password are not valid.

Log file may contain entries similar to the following:

Oct 31 10:04:06:867 ERROR [http-bio-80-exec-9, com.nimsoft.nimbus.probe.service.wasp.auth.LoginModule] login() org.apache.tomcat.dbcp.dbcp.SQLNestedException: Cannot create PoolableConnectionFactory (Cannot open database "CAUIM" requested by the login. The login failed.)

This can be caused by a stale "connection" key in the wasp configuration file.


  1. Locate the wasp probe on the primary hub
  2. Pressing and hold the shift key and right click on the probe
  3. Click Raw Configure
  4. Expand the setup section
  5. Click the "connection" key
  6. Click "Delete Key"
  7. Click OK

After the probe restarts, you should be able to log in.
