Issue/Introduction

Error Message :
U02000050 The interface version 'rs' for message '
The PeopleSoft Agent on Linux becomes inactive if the report (REP) is chosen from the directory tab while the job is still active.
The entry in the agent log is:
 

U02000050 The interface version 'rs' for message '<?xml' is not supported.

After the KEEP_ALIVE time the agent automatically reconnects to the Automation Engine.

Cause

Root Cause: PeopleSoft Agent on Unix can not download and display report files that are "On Agent".

Resolution

New PeopleSoft Agent available as of SP1 (version 12.0.1).

The newer Java-based Agent is built using a different technology than previous C-based versions and provides more functionality than the older C-based Agent.

Update to a fix version listed below or a newer version if available.
