The function "Search for use" - "Usage of objects" does not find derived variables on task level.
Derived variable used in PromptSets are found however when a derived variable is used in a schedule or workflow, on task level it is not found.
Environment
OS Version: N/A
Cause
Cause type: By design Root Cause: The current implementation of the “Search for Use” does not consider all fields for the search because it would radically impair the search and the performance of the search would be hampered as it would reduce the speed of the results tremendously.
Resolution
Upgrade to version 12.1. With this release, it will be possible to find derived variables in schedules or workflows.
With Version 12 Automic implemented a new kind of search which uses the Lucene Search Technologies for indexing full-text search. With version 12.1 the search will be extended to cover the functionality of finding derived variables within schedules or workflows.
