Windows Agent crashes during File Transfer creating a dump file with code 0xC0000005 error

Exception information, code 0xC0000005 - The thread attempts to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have access.

The Windows agent crashes during a File Transfer (FT), and the above error message is displayed in the dump file that is created.

In the Agent Log the following exception is visible:
Unexpected exception occured, Agent forces a trace.

Cause type:
Root Cause: Windows Agent can crash when performing a FT for several reasons, such as if a previous runs source file can’t be deleted, there is a networking error during the FT, or if more than 1 Agent is trying to write to the same log.


Update to a fix version listed below or a newer version if available.
