External Dependency Not Saving External Task [(Parent)] Modifications If Name of Task Has Been Modified

Error Message :

The Task Properties of an external dependency in a Workflow allow changes to be made in the external task (Parent), but when changes are made they are not saved.
This happens both if it is added from another Workflow (storing the Parent value) or directly (no Parent value added). A short video clip (avi) is attached which documents this erroneous behavior.



Cause type:
Root Cause: In the task properties dialog, the name and parent of an external dependency should not be editable.

This should not be an editable field and has been changed to a non-editable field in the fix versions listed below or newer versions.
