Article ID: 87869

Updated On:

CA Automic Workload Automation - Automation Engine

Error Message :

Starting agents with the script function :MODIFY_SYSTEM("STARTUP", ...) fails sporadically although the Service Manager connection works.

No Error messages are displayed.

Restarting the Server allows the agents to be started and stopped using the Service Manager dialog and System Overview in the User Interface.  However, using the script still intermittently fails and the job containing the command reamins in a status of "Generating".

Cause type:
Root Cause: If an invalid SMGR call is issued by the CP and not returned, all other SMGR calls will not be executed by CP until the open request is returned.
