Issue/Introduction

Error Message :
U2000014 Connection to Agent '' denied.

The above message appears when executing a FileTransfer (FT) Job with an Agent defined with License Class S.

License Class S can only be assigned to an Agent that is on the same Host as a Server/Automation Engine.

The use of a License Class S causes the Agent to automatically use the loopback adaptor for any IP address or Hostname.

In the System Overview the IP address is shown as 127.0.0.1

The other Agents use 127.0.0.1 to try to connect to this Agent, but because 127.0.0.1 is a loopback adaptor IP, the connecting Agent tries to connect to itself.

Environment

OS Version: N/A

Cause

Cause type:
By design
Root Cause: Cannot connect with using License Class S because it tries to connect to itself.

Resolution

To have the Agent report a valid IP specify an IP address or Hostname in the 'port=' section of the Agent's .ini.

[TCP/IP]
port=vwasup05:2301

Reference

Automation Engine 11.2 Documentation, see [TCP/IP] port= entry for specific Agent type:
