CA Application Performance Management Agent (APM / Wily / Introscope) INTROSCOPE

Issue/Introduction

We have several APM Java agents release 10.5.1 configured to monitor CQ5/AEM as recommended in the following Tech Doc:

The Tech document is for APM 9.6 and AEM 5.X with Java 1.6.

These APM agents are constantly disconnecting and connecting from EM collector which is causing the EM collector to become unresponsive.

Environment

These environments are running AEM 6.2 with Java 1.8APM Java Agent release 10.5.1 reporting to EM collector release 10.5.1

Resolution

Disable baseline on the Collectors.

Add/modify the following property on the Collector in the IntroscopeEnterpriseManager.properties file:
introscope.enterprisemanager.baseline.max.metrics.baselined=0

1. Stop the Collector

2. Modify the IntroscopeEnterpriseManager.properties as per above

3. Start the Collector
