When using the Automic Web Interface (AWI) with Internet Explorer (IE) version 11 an error occurs when searching in scripts. This only affects AWI opened in Internet Explorer. Investigation An object is opened for editing The script tab is selected and one word or phrase is selected The keyboard shortcut Ctrl+F is used to open the search dialog The search dialog pops up and the highlighted word is filled into the input box <Please see attached file for image>
Click OK Instead of searching for the phrase, it is replaced by a single f <Please see attached file for image>
Workaround If the search is not opened by the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+F but via Internet Explorers menu <Please see attached file for image>
another search dialog is opened <Please see attached file for image>
that works. Solution
From V12.1.0 on, there is a new search function with its own search and replace dialog: <Please see attached file for image>
