Issue/Introduction

Error Message :
ORA-04031: unable to allocate 32 bytes of shared memory

Symptoms

First, The AE server becomes unresponsive.
No connections can be established : no GUI connection and agents lose their connections as well.

Second, server processes (CP and WP) crash immediately after startup.


Investigation

The error message 'ORA-04031: unable to allocate 32 bytes of shared memory' appears in the CP and WP logs.
It is not possible to connect to the database with a client such as SQL Developer for instance either. The error 'ORA-04031: unable to allocate 32 bytes of shared memory' is immediately displayed.

Please contact a DBA in order to fix this.
