AWI freezes with message "Failed to load the widgetset"

Issue/Introduction

Error Message :
Failed to load the widgetset

AWI freeze and displays the following errors:

 

 

Investigation:

You will see the following or similar error messages:

This can be found in the ECC or AWI log.

Environment

Release: AUTWAB99000-12.x -Automic Workload Automation-Base Edition

Cause

Root Cause: JVM heap memory of Tomcat not enough to run ECC or AWI

Resolution

Increase your Java Heap Memory: (Steps)

 

• Identify your service:

 

 

• At a command prompt, cd into C:\Automic\apache-tomcat-9.0.30\bin.

 

Execute the following command: (Note: Tomcat9 is the "Service Name" identified in above screenshot)

 

• tomcat9w.exe //ES//Tomcat9

 

will launch the following screen:

 

 

Go to the depicted "Java Tab" and increase the Maximum memory pool to a higher value.

 

• Restart Tomcat.
